The project

A hotel inspired by organic architecture: the amicability between natural settings and human habitation.

Every fragment of the building has views, daylight and a hint of its natural surroundings. Large green voids let nature into the building, so guests live close to it. Big green spaces hold leisure, relaxation and dining, and the colours are kept refreshing and subtle.

The Garden Hotel

01 / Idea

A landmark with greenery in it

The hotel is imagined first as a way to give a city without a nodal point a landmark, and then to bring greenery into that landmark.

02Cityscape with no imageability; a landmark and nodal point; greenery added to the cityscape.

The Garden Hotel

02 / Section

Space design, fragment by fragment

03Perspective section: the space design of each fragment and the nature pockets at different levels.

03 / Facade and restaurant

Green voids and a signature restaurant

The facade is a juxtaposition of spaces, with large windows for views of the city. The signature restaurant gives refreshing, relaxed space for dining among planting.

04The facade: green voids give permeability between nature and guests.

04 / Plans

From ground floor to the tenth

Typical upper floors wrap guest rooms around green voids and gathering areas; the ground and first floors organise public life around courtyards.
